Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Zion Awakening Center website (the “Website”), operated by Zion Awakening Center (“we,” “us,” or “our”), a church based at Bweyogerere, Wakiso District, Uganda. By creating an account, submitting a form, giving online, or otherwise using the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account or use the Website's forms and giving features. By using the Website, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and truthful. Parents and guardians who submit a prayer request or registration on behalf of a child are responsible for the information they provide.

You may create an account using your email address and a password, or by signing in with Google. You are responsible for:

• Keeping your password and sign-in credentials confidential.
• All activity that takes place under your account.
• Letting us know promptly if you suspect your account has been used without your permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently or in a way that harms the Website or other people.

The Website allows you to:

• Learn about our ministry and our church.
• Watch our services online and listen to audio sermons, and save sermons to your profile.
• Send us prayer requests and messages through our contact form.
• Register as a new convert and request discipleship follow-up.
• Submit a spiritual sonship request.
• Give online.

We may add, change, suspend, or remove features at any time. Live streams and online services depend on internet connectivity and third-party platforms, and we do not guarantee that they will always be available or uninterrupted.

This includes the content you submit through the Website, such as your profile information, contact messages, prayer requests, new convert registrations, and sonship testimonies (“Submissions”). By making a Submission, you:

• Confirm that the information is accurate and that you have the right to share it.
• Confirm that you will not submit another person's personal information without their permission, except where you are acting as a parent or guardian.
• Understand that we will handle your Submission as described in our Privacy Policy, including making it available to the pastors, leaders, and ministry team members who need it in order to pray for you, follow up with you, or review your request.
• Remain responsible for what you choose to share. Please share only what you are comfortable sharing.

We do not publish prayer requests, registrations, or testimonies on the Website. We may remove or decline any Submission that violates these Terms.

The Website lets you give to the church and designate a purpose for your giving. By giving online, you agree that:

• Your gift is made voluntarily, of your own free will, and without expectation of any goods or services in return.
• You are authorized to use the payment method or mobile money account you provide.
• The amount, currency, and contact details you enter are correct.
• We will use your gift for the purpose you designate where reasonably possible. Where a designated purpose is no longer needed or cannot be fulfilled, we may apply the gift to another need of the church's ministry.
• Payments are processed by third-party payment providers or mobile money services, which have their own terms. We do not collect or store your card number or mobile money PIN on the Website.

Gifts are generally non-refundable. If you believe a gift was made in error or without your authorization, please contact us promptly using the details in Section 16 and we will do our best to help. We keep giving records for as long as needed for accounting, audit, and legal purposes.

The Website's sermons, teachings, and pastoral responses are provided for spiritual encouragement and instruction. They are not a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice. If you are facing an emergency or a serious health, safety, or legal matter, please contact the appropriate professional or emergency service first. Submitting a prayer request does not guarantee a specific response or outcome, and we cannot guarantee that a pastor or leader will be available to respond to every Submission personally.

When using the Website, you agree not to:

• Provide false information or impersonate any person, church, or organization.
• Submit content that is unlawful, abusive, harassing, defamatory, hateful, obscene, or that infringes on anyone's rights.
• Use the Website to promote another organization or fundraising effort, or to send spam or unsolicited messages.
• Use the giving features with a payment method you are not authorized to use, or for fraudulent purposes.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts, to the Website's systems, or to submissions you are not authorized to view.
• Use bots, scrapers, or other automated means to access or extract data from the Website without our prior written consent.
• Upload or distribute malware, or interfere with the security or normal operation of the Website.

The Website relies on third-party providers, including Google Firebase (authentication, database, and file storage), YouTube (embedded live streams), and payment or mobile money providers, as described in our Privacy Policy. These providers have their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. The Website may also link to external sites. We do not control those sites, and you use them at your own discretion and risk.

The Zion Awakening Center name, logo, website design, text, graphics, sermon recordings, and other content on the Website, along with the underlying software, belong to Zion Awakening Center or its licensors and may not be copied, reproduced, sold, or republished without our prior written permission. You are welcome to listen to and share links to our sermons and services for personal, non-commercial use. This does not affect your ownership of the Submissions you make, but you grant us permission to use them as needed to run our ministry and the Website, as described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

The Website is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We take reasonable care in running it, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that all content will be accurate or complete. Views expressed by individual speakers in sermons and other content are their own within the context of our ministry.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zion Awakening Center, its leaders, volunteers, and team members shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Website, including loss of data, interruption of service, or issues arising from third-party services. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

You may stop using the Website and request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us (see Section 16). We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct that harms the Website, our ministry, or other people. Some records, such as giving records, may need to be kept after your account is closed to meet our legal and accounting obligations.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Uganda, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda.

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal or operational reasons. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page when changes are made. Continued use of the Website after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
